Product information is key for adequate legislation: Many political stakeholders still do not know the difference between vaping and tobacco products – IEVA closes knowledge gaps and lays the ground for rational laws and regulation. Our independence opens doors to political key-stakeholders in Brussels that are relevant for the whole European vaping industry. Therefore our messages are heard and taken seriously: vaping equals harm reduction and benefits public health!

Leading policy Change

Organized in an European Association, our industry can set norms and standards instead of waiting for legislative requirements to come. Therefore, IEVA members are engaged with international and national standardization institutions like ​Comité Européen de Normalisation (CEN) or DIN in Germany, AFNOR in France and ASRO in Romania.

Dialogue

IEVA founding members are spokesmen to the European institutions, we provide TAXUD with industry information to clear the perspective on e-cigarette taxes and host events in Brussels EU parliament to give first-hand information about the benefits of a suitable vaping legislation for the European public. Also, we engage in public relations to support a positive media perception of e-cigarettes.
